It is important to note that UU\u2019s continue to question. It is best if your youth is committed to all of the sessions to fully get meaning from the process.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please CONFIRM your 9th grader will be a part of this by RSVP to  <a href=\"http:\/\/uuwestport.org\/lifespan\/mary-b-collins-contact\/\">Mary B. Collins<\/a>, Children\u2019s Program Coordinator \u2013 pre-K to Grade 5.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Families of 9th graders \u2013 <em>Final Call for you to confirm your 9th grader will participate in the final step of Coming of Age.<\/em>\u00a0 If you youth will participate \u2013 This is their home-work:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">o\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0When you confirm &#8211; you will receive two documents to read <em>(sample credo statements, and reading from book <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">This I Believe: Life Lessons<\/span>).<\/em><br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Listen to \u201cThis I Believe\u201d podcasts\u00a0 here\u2019s one example or look at other \u201cessays\u201d about 3 minutes each ~ <a href=\"http:\/\/thisibelieve.org\/essay\/4205\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/thisibelieve.org\/essay\/4205\/<\/a><br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<strong>By April 20<\/strong> \u2013 Youth Write a draft\u00a0 (2 minutes read out loud) or draft of your idea to present (artistic or musical or video\u2026) and email it to\u00a0  <a href=\"http:\/\/uuwestport.org\/ministers-greeting\/rev-dr-john-morehouse-senior-minister\/\">Rev. John<\/a> &amp;  <a href=\"http:\/\/uuwestport.org\/lifespan\/mary-b-collins-director-of-lifespan-faith-development\/\">Mary Collins<\/a><br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<strong>On April 23<\/strong> &#8211; Meet with Mary Collins with Credo finalization &amp; Gratitude statements 6:00-7:00 pm in Meeting House, Main floor then go to youth Group to share it as the group as part of the Youth Service planning<br \/>\no\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<strong>May 6<\/strong> \u2013 Rehearsal 4:00-6:00pm, Potluck 6:00-7:00 pm, 9th Gr &amp; Parents \u201cGratitude Ceremony\u201d 7:00 pm\u00a0 &amp; <strong>May 7th Credo Presentation at both 9 &amp; 11 services to the congregation<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>After taking part in CoA the youth may decide to join our congregation as a voting member in their own right \u2013 at age 14<\/strong> according to our by-laws.
